2. You've written that "Much of my work has taken place in rural landscapes, often on small islands and usually involves a boat of some sort. The images and video here are snippets that explore the experience of getting there and being there - wherever there may be. " Could you tell us about one of those journeys? Where were you coming from and going to? Who did you meet along the way? How did you feel as it ended?
My husband is a fabulous sailor, he has a wooden boat that sleeps 6 people and we would take off for 2-3 weeks in the summer and sail along the coast of Maine, island hopping, swimming, reading, knitting. We would join other families and cruise together. We might anchor and go for hike or meet another family for dinner on an island. It was magical. I felt so close to my kids and they created a lovely bond between themselves that, as an only child, I am
ecstatic about for them. They are young adults now and we still sail together.
